The masseter muscle — your main chewing muscle — can become enlarged (hypertrophied) through habitual teeth clenching, grinding (bruxism), or simply genetics. Botulinum toxin injected directly into the masseter causes it to gradually atrophy, slimming the lower face and softening a square jaw. As a secondary benefit, many clients find significant relief from jaw tension, headaches, and teeth grinding.

What to Expect
Several injections into the masseter muscle on each side of the jaw, guided by feel. The appointment takes around 20–30 minutes. Slimming is gradual as the muscle reduces in bulk over 4–6 weeks.
Downtime
Minimal. The jaw may feel slightly tender or weak when chewing very hard foods for a few days.
Results
